Recently I purchased this Powerbass 6-1/2 inch speaker as a replacement for my 2006 Pontiac. I was a little skeptical upon ordering because I had never heard these before with my own ears, but rather I based my decision on the recommendation of a long time friend. After installing the speaker in the factory location I could hardly wait to turn on the radio and listen to my favorite CD. Wow was I impressed! The sound was so much cleaner and louder then the factory speaker I had replaced. The Powerbass uses a silk dome tweeter just like the far more expensive Polk Audio 6-1/2 and wow can you hear the difference. The vocals are crystal clear and the sounds of an acoustic guitar are right on! My long time friend did me a big favor and saved me a lot of money (almost half the price of the Polk) and I want to do the same for any one else looking to upgrade the sound of their car speakers.
