User Reviews about Polk Audio DB351 3.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Pair - Black)
I used these speakers to replace the OEM speakers in my New Holland tractor cab. The sound is a great improvement over the originals, but dont expect huge sound becuase they are just 3.5's. The center tweeter extends up above the front of the speaker by about three quarters of an inch. As a result the factory flat/flush grills would not work. I trimmed the round Polk grills to fit and it all worked out fine. -- Great for their size
Just installed these into my 92 Miata headrest speakers. Had to improvise a bit cuz Miatas use a non-standard size for their headrest speakers. I have the db651, and I think they sound pretty good. Figured I'd pick up the db351 based on my satisfaction with the 651's. After listening to them, I would not recommend them if you're looking for any kind of decent range. These only go down to 90hz, which in itself isn't a problem, but they sound very tiny. They ARE small, so it may be an inherent problem w/ these sized speakers. I don't have anything else to reference it against, but the sound reminded me of Blaupunkt's PSx652's which also sounded very small. I had powered them (Blaupunkt) with a Sonic T-amp in my car previously. Fortunately I have the db651's which have plenty of low end for my taste, so they make up for the lack of sound from these. In particular the midrange is weak. It may be my installation job since it doesn't fit in the standard Miata enclosure. I may redo it to see if it will help. Perhaps these need to be broken in a bit, so if the sound improves in a few weeks, I will come back and revise my review. My fear is that I would get fatigue from listening to these on a long drive. -- Not recommended based on DB651 experience
