The Control 47HC features a narrow 75 degree coverage pattern ideal for use in highly reverberant spaces and high ceiling applications. This focused pattern helps minimize sound reflecting off of room surfaces as well as, time arrival anomalies from adjacent loudspeakers resulting in improved speech intelligibility. The Control 47HC features the same sonic character the Control 47CT and is ideal for busy transit centers or large convention center spaces. Featuring JBLs conical Radiation Boundary Integrator RBI, the RBI provides a large waveguide for the tweeter while low-frequency sound projects through specially-designed apertures in the RBI, allowing for a seamless integration of coverage between the two coaxially mounted drivers. The result is extremely consistent sound character with very little variation throughout the listening space. The Control 47HCs narrow coverage pattern makes the system ideal for high ceiling applications where the focused pattern helps minimized time arrival anomalies from adjacent loudspeakers, resulting in improved speech intelligibility. The large backcan on the Control 47HC along with the LF driver design, provides extended bass response for a warm fullbodied tone. The systems 6.5 inch woofer features a polypropylene cone and pure butyl-rubber surround for long life. The copper-clad aluminum voice coil wound on a vented aluminum former provides low distortion and high sensitivity. The coaxially mounted 1 inch soft dome features internal damping for smooth extended response and ferrofluid cooling for enhanced power handling and reduced power compression. The GD87 is a high performance coaxial loudspeaker with performance specifications identical to the legendary Atlas Sound Model C803A. This similarity in sonic quality insures that existing C803A systems may be expanded with the new GD87 without any noticeable sonic or performance differences. The high-quality, 25 watt GD87 utilizes a post mounted tweeter which adds strength to the assembly and provides an attractive appearance. This coaxial loudspeaker features a 45 Hz-19 kHz (nominal) frequency response and a broad, uniform dispersion pattern of 105° (2 kHz octave band). The GD87 combines a full-size 8" (203 mm) dia., low-frequency reproducer and a 3" (76 mm) high-frequency reproducer. The two sections are coupled via a built-in crossover network. The woofer has a 10 oz. (260 g) ceramic magnet; the tweeter has a 2.35 oz. (67 g) ceramic magnet. The unit has an average sensitivity of 96 dB (1W/1M). The loudspeaker is matched with a high efficiency 8 watt 70.7V transformer with a maximum insertion loss of 0.6 dB. This premium transformer is constructed of audio grade laminations and has a full range frequency response of +1 dB from 50 Hz to 15 kHz. The primary taps are 1, 2, 4, and 8 watts.
