The LT Series LT6AT870Vb, patented lay-in tile speaker systems, are engineered to provide fast and unobtrusive installation of high-quality paging and music in suspended tile ceilings. Ready-to-install 1 x 2 systems require no speaker cut-outs in the tile or time consuming assembly. They simply replace half of a 2 x 2 tile or one quarter of a 2 x 4 tile and are supported by the T-bar grid. Ready-to-install system includes a speakertransformer assembly mounted to a 1 x 2 sub-plate with fine-perforated grille, built-in Tbar across support, and pre-mounted point8 .8 cu.ft. volume backbox with acoustic lining for extended low frequency performance. Built-in T-bar cross support is a Lowell exclusive that saves installation time by eliminating the need to field cut or mount an extra ceiling grid frame member. Each assembly mounts as tile ceilings. The grille is precision-formed from perforated steel with an integral two-foot T-bar to support neighboring tile. Material and labor saving design eliminates the need to purchase, cut, and install a replacement grid member to support the adjacent tile.
